Five Toronto Blue Jays players have been selected as finalists for the prestigious Gold Glove awards this season, which are presented annually by Major League Baseball to honor the top defensive performers in each position across both leagues.

Ernie Clement has been nominated for two awards, having been announced on Wednesday as one of the three finalists in the American League for both third base and utility positions. Additionally, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Ty France, who joined the Blue Jays from Minnesota during the trade deadline, are contenders for the AL Gold Glove at first base.

Among the other finalists are second baseman Andres Gimenez and catcher Alejandro Kirk. Gimenez has secured the AL Gold Glove at second base for the past three seasons while playing for the Cleveland Guardians. Guerrero was the recipient of the AL first-base award in 2022.

The winners of the Gold Glove awards will be revealed on November 2nd.
