Eight years after the tragic deaths of Barry and Honey Sherman, their daughter Alex Krawczyk remains hopeful for justice to prevail. The couple was found deceased in their Toronto home in 2017, with the case still unsolved.
Krawczyk expressed a glimmer of optimism about the ongoing investigation during a recent interview on CBC Radio’s Metro Morning. She acknowledged the police’s guarded approach and her willingness to cooperate, emphasizing the importance of maintaining communication.
The high-profile nature of the case, fueled by Barry’s wealth and Honey’s charitable endeavors, has captured public interest. Various speculations, ranging from mob ties to family disputes, have circulated, but Toronto police are dedicated to resolving the mystery, according to police spokesperson Laurie McCann.
The Sherman family previously offered a substantial $35 million reward for information leading to a breakthrough in the case. Krawczyk urged potential informants to contact the Toronto police directly. Despite ongoing safety concerns, she remains devoted to continuing her parents’ philanthropic legacy.
In honoring her parents’ memory, Krawczyk has supported multiple charitable initiatives, including the Ma’mo’weh Wii’soo’ka’tiwin Foundation and an Indigenous care center at St. Michael’s Hospital, reflecting her commitment to fulfilling their unfinished endeavors.
