The live cross-Canada countdown begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on selected streaming platforms and CBC News Network. On CBC TV, each time zone will start airing the special at 9 p.m. local time after the “This Hour Has 22 Minutes” New Year’s Eve special.

The show features Aba Amuquandoh, Stacey McGunnigle, Trent McClellan, Chris Wilson, and Mark Critch, along with a musical performance by East Coast indie rock singer-songwriter Adam Baldwin and surprise guests.
During the countdown to midnight, reporters from various communities across Canada will join the hosts of CBC’s “Live Cross-Canada Countdown” to usher in the new year.
