Goalkeeper Anthony Stolarz has inked a new four-year deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs. The contract carries an average annual value of $3.75 million US. Stolarz, aged 31, showcased his skills in 34 games for the Maple Leafs last season, boasting a notable 21-8-3 record and an impressive .926 save percentage. Among goaltenders who played 25 or more games last season, he led in save percentage with .926 and ranked third in goals-against average with 2.14. This agreement follows Toronto’s recent announcement that Joseph Woll would be taking a break from the team for personal reasons, disrupting the plan for Woll and Stolarz to share the crease. Additionally, the Maple Leafs have brought in seasoned goaltender James Reimer for a professional tryout. Stolarz, with a combined record of 64-39-12 and a .918 save percentage in 142 NHL regular-season games spanning his career with various teams, including a Stanley Cup win with the Florida Panthers in 2024, was selected by Philadelphia in the second round of the 2012 NHL Draft. Reimer, aged 37 and hailing from Morweena, Manitoba, is embarking on his 16th NHL season after tallying a 10-10-2 record across 22 games played with Buffalo and Anaheim in the previous season.
