Odell Beckham Jr. Suspended for Six Games

Must read

Free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has agreed to a six-game suspension imposed by the NFL for allegedly failing a performance-enhancing drug test last year, as announced during his appearance on the Pivot podcast on Tuesday. The NFL confirmed that Beckham will be sidelined until Week 12.

During the podcast, Beckham, 32, asserted that he was not aware of taking any performance-enhancing substances. In the previous season, he participated in nine games with the Miami Dolphins, recording career-low statistics of nine catches for 55 yards.

Despite this setback, the seasoned NFL player, who was a first-round pick in the 2014 draft and achieved 1,000-yard seasons in four of his initial five years with the New York Giants, expressed his desire to continue playing this season. Following his trade to the Cleveland Browns in 2019 and subsequent move to the Los Angeles Rams in 2021, Beckham secured a Super Bowl victory with the Rams before sustaining an ACL injury.

With a career tally of 575 receptions for 7,987 yards, Beckham currently ranks 119th in NFL history for receiving yards.
