This trend has persisted throughout his career, where he leads in both strikeouts and walks since becoming a full-time major leaguer in 2020.

Despite this, the Blue Jays are banking on his potential and durability, as he has been a reliable starter, making 32-33 starts annually and pitching between 165 and 189 innings over the past five years.
