Miha Fontaine Claims Bronze in World Cup Aerials

Canadian freestyle skier Miha Fontaine secured the bronze medal in the men’s competition during a recent World Cup aerials event. Hailing from Magog, Quebec, Fontaine achieved a score of 107.73, clinching his inaugural World Cup medal. Last week in Lac-Beauport, Quebec, the 22-year-old narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth on day two of the competition. Claiming the gold and silver medals were Chinese skiers, with Li Xinpeng leading with an impressive score of 137.19, surpassing Wang Xindi by 25.19 points. Emile Nadeau from Prevost, Quebec, secured fifth place with a total of 104.49 points.

In the women’s category, Kalia Kuhn from the United States secured the gold medal with a score of 105.6, closely followed by China’s Xu Mengtao with 105.17 and Australia’s Danielle Scott with 85.65. Alexandra Montminy from Lac-Beauport emerged as the top Canadian athlete, finishing in seventh place.
