“Frosty the Horse Rescued from Frozen Creek in Cochin”

Must read

In Cochin, Saskatchewan, a horse that got stuck in a frozen creek has now been affectionately dubbed Frosty after a successful rescue mission. The incident began when a concerned resident alerted the village about the trapped animal. Cochin’s mayor, Mark Pattinson, along with his friend Ed Scott, sprang into action to locate the struggling horse.

After initial attempts to free the horse using manpower and ropes failed, a Jeep with a winch was brought to the scene. With the assistance of local community members and RCMP officers, the team managed to pull Frosty out of the icy waters within 30 minutes of locating him. Despite being exhausted and covered in ice, the horse was eventually coaxed back to his feet and led to a nearby village shop for warmth and care.

It was revealed that Frosty, who was found roaming due to his owner’s passing, had not been claimed by anyone. The community rallied around the horse, providing support, supplies, and even financial assistance for his veterinary care. Frosty was later transported to the Lakeland veterinary clinic in North Battleford for further treatment and recovery. The heartwarming rescue effort showcased the compassion and unity of the local residents towards the vulnerable animal.
