American country singer Jelly Roll and podcaster Bunnie Xo have spoken out about their recent divorce. During his performance on the Little ASS Shed Tour in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Jelly Roll addressed rumors surrounding their separation, emphasizing that he and his ex-wife remain close friends despite the split. He denied any infidelity accusations and expressed gratitude for their decade-long marriage.
On the same day, Bunnie Xo, also known as Alisa Deford, discussed the divorce on her podcast, “Dumb Blonde,” revealing that they are expecting a child together through IVF despite their breakup. She recounted how a heated argument on Mother’s Day led to her instructing him to file for divorce, which he ultimately did out of anger. This decision prompted them to engage in honest conversations about their relationship.
The divorce was initiated by Jelly Roll, real name Jason DeFord, on May 18, citing irreconcilable differences in court documents from Williamson County, Tenn. The couple tied the knot in 2016 and renewed their vows in 2023. While they do not share any children, Jelly Roll has two kids from previous relationships.
Both parties have openly discussed their past relationship struggles. In a podcast interview last year, Jelly Roll confessed to an affair, describing it as a regretful moment in his life. Bunnie Xo also mentioned their breakup in 2018 in a TikTok post.
Their divorce proceedings are expected to be finalized in the coming weeks, with a focus on co-parenting their future child despite the end of their marriage.
