“Canadian Screen Awards: Children’s TV Winners Revealed”

The Canadian Screen Awards week has begun with the announcement of the Children’s Television Awards winners in Toronto. The first of six ceremonies revealed the names of 16 winners in different categories.

Josette Jorge won the award for Best supporting performer in children’s or youth category for her role in “The Unstoppable Jenny Garcia.” She was seen posing with her Canadian Screen Award after the win.

Other winners included “Toopy and Binoo Fabulous Adventures” for Best writing in the pre-school category, “Thomas & Friends: The Christmas Letter Express” for Best original music in animation, and Will Arnett for Best voice performance in “Super Team Canada.” Arnett received two awards at the ceremony.

Katie Boland received the Best direction award in the children’s or youth category for “Macy Murdoch — Tick, Tick, Gone.”

The show “Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum — I am Jackie Robinson” was a double winner, taking home awards for Best writing and Best direction in animation. “Odd Squad” also had a successful night, winning Best lead performer for Asha Soetan and Best children’s or youth fiction program or series.

“Super Team Canada” was recognized as the Best animated program or series, with Will Arnett also winning for Best voice performance.

Additionally, “Mittens & Pants” received the Canada Media Fund kids’ choice award, and “Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood” was awarded as the Best pre-school program or series. “Old Enough!” won the Best children’s or youth non-fiction program or series award.

The event showcased a diverse range of talent and creativity in the children’s television industry.
