Musician Jelly Roll Files for Divorce from Podcaster Bunnie Xo

Must read

American musician Jelly Roll, also known as Jason DeFord, has initiated divorce proceedings with his spouse, podcaster Bunnie Xo, whose real name is Alisa DeFord. The couple, married since 2016, are parting ways due to irreconcilable differences, as per court records from Williamson County, Tennessee. Despite renewing their vows in 2023, the pair, who do not share children together, have decided to end their marriage. Jelly Roll, aged 41 and recognized for hits like “Son of a Sinner” and “Need a Favor,” has two children from previous relationships.

Bunnie Xo, aged 46, hosts the “Dumb Blonde Podcast” and operates Dumb Blonde Productions, a production company focusing on interviews with personalities from the music and entertainment sectors. Earlier this year, she released a memoir, “Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic,” detailing her journey from Las Vegas trailer parks to Nashville mansions.

Before gaining fame in the country rock genre, Jelly Roll faced legal troubles, including a robbery conviction at 17 and drug-related charges at 23. His passion for music and songwriting blossomed during his time behind bars. Recently, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee pardoned Jelly Roll for his past offenses based on a recommendation from the state’s parole board.

During the 2026 Grammy Awards, where he won best contemporary country album for “Beautifully Broken,” Jelly Roll acknowledged his wife’s pivotal role in his recovery from substance abuse, expressing gratitude for her support. Despite previous challenges in their relationship, including Jelly Roll admitting to an affair in a podcast interview and Bunnie Xo mentioning their breakup in 2018 on TikTok, the couple has not yet commented publicly on their divorce. Jelly Roll’s social media showcases his weight loss journey, while Bunnie Xo’s latest post features her lip-syncing to Nickelback’s “How You Remind Me.”
